25th October was the day of MUIDS Thai University Fair 2024 organized by Mahidol University International Demonstration School. BJM freshmen Nora and New who graduated from MUIDS represented BJM at the fair. As enthusiastic students of MUIDS and BJM, they shared everything about BJM to curious MUIDS students encouraging them to follow their dreams like them. Feeling nostalgic and hopeful at the same time, Nora and New shared their thoughts on reflecting on their academic journeys at BJM and inspiring the next generations.
Q: What is it like to be back at your school?
Nora: It feels amazing to be back here because I haven’t been back in many months. I missed everything about the school, from seeing all the younger students to meeting my teachers.
New: As for me, I felt comfortable to be back to MUIDS which is my second home. It brought back all of my high school memories with my friends.
Q: What’s your motivation for choosing BJM?
Nora: I have always wanted to learn about the media and understand how our technological world moves which is the reason why I chose BJM and our faculty.
New: As for my interests, I really want to study media or mass communication. BJM highly matches my interests and so I chose BJM.
Q: How’s everything going at BJM so far?
Nora: It has been very good, I really enjoy all the group projects because I get to work with others and learn new skills. Most importantly, I have been participating in many of the faculty activities and it has been very fun.
New: Personally, it’s still fine for me because in my high school, I have learned some basics about media and communication, and also there were more projects there than there are here right now. However, I think it may be harder in the future or next semester.
Â
Q: Are you satisfied with your academic choice?
Nora: I am very satisfied because all the subjects I have been learning here are subjects that I enjoy and they are also easy to understand and catch up.
New: Actually, I also want to learn more about business, like marketing and entrepreneurship. But currently the courses mainly focus on Journalism and Communication.
Q: What do you want to tell your high-school self about studying at Thammasat?
Nora: I would tell my high school self that everything is going good so far. You have made new friends and connections which has been very fun. There is nothing to worry about.
New: It’s good. I mean TU highlights about the freedom of humans which really impressed me. Also, it has a great location and atmosphere.
Q: Any words for high school students willing to study at BJM Thammasat!
Nora: If you are interested in journalism and mass media, BJM would really suit you. Here, we have so many exciting activities waiting for you such as sports, music and dancing besides studying. I really recommend everyone to join.
New: BJM will not only give your academic achievements but also giving experiences and freedom, and teaching you to love the people. So, welcome everyone!
